AI summit in Warsaw
CEO Sabine Pöhacker and Junior Partner Sarah Krasser-Fuchs attended the AI summit in the Polish metropolis in mid-March. The bottom line: the well-known formula, according to which 80 percent is done by humans and 20 percent by machines, is obsolete. In the future, ten percent human input, 80 percent machine and then another ten percent fine-tuning by human intelligence will be required. These media outlets were ahead of their game in 2024
The Kronen Zeitung remains in first place among Austrian daily newspapers with a circulation of 532,000 and around 1.6 million readers per issue. It is followed by the Kleine Zeitung with 249,000 copies and the Kurier with 98,000 copies. The demand for digital content continues to rise; for example, the Standard only has a print circulation of 505,000, compared to a monthly reach of 8.8 million in the digital sector. Press release done right
comm:unications recently created a particularly successful press release for Techem Messtechnik. The journalistically prepared article “Heating cost 2024 lower than expected” was not only packed with valid figures and provided meaningful graphics, but also contained a lot of regional relevance. With over two dozen media reports, including a feature on Ö1 Mittagsjournal, Techem was once again able to be positioned as a leading service provider for smart and sustainable buildings.
New client waste management
comm:unications was successful in the pitch for the budget of the Association of Public Waste Management Companies, VÖA. From now on, the team from Wasagasse will provide effective support in all communications matters for the organisation representing the interests of municipal waste management companies. VÖA serves a total of 5.7 million Austrians in the area of waste and recycling management and drives innovation in the area of resource and environmental protection.
Video as a PR tool
The creative team from Wasagasse has just finalised a patient video for a renowned pharmaceutical client. The idea and script came from comm:unications, while mediavilm was responsible for recording and post-production. The next shoot has also already been finalised – the team will soon be heading to Paris to produce an image video for adapa, a leader in the packaging industry. Sabine Pöhacker, who will be on site as a senior consultant: “Videos increase detectability on the internet by up to 200 per cent!”
Agency inside
CEO Sabine Pöhacker has been a member of the Austrian Public Affairs Association (ÖPAV) since the beginning of 2025. As a result, the agency, which advises numerous interest groups, offers further added value in terms of political communication. Katharina Perry has also joined the team as Senior Event Manager and Julia Riener has started as an intern. A warm welcome!
