PR is going digital

Writing manual increases efficiency by 30%
Words and written communication play a central role in every organisation. Written communication guidelines, clear wording and the use of pre-prepared text modules have been proven to increase efficiency. Rather than searching for the right words, employees can easily and confidently use pre-prepared text. comm:unications causes a stir
comm:unications was able to inspire exactly 80 journalists from ten countries to attend IAAPA Expo Europe, the largest international trade fair for the leisure industry. With more than 60 reports in the run-up to the event and excellent media coverage during and after the show, IAAPA Expo Europe, which brought together more than 13,000 industry insiders at the Vienna Exhibition Centre, was also a complete media success. Behind this was an experienced PR team led by Sabine Pöhacker, who was responsible for international press relations.
More Europe at comm:unications
“Building Europe with Local Councillors“ (BELC) is the latest EU project that comm:unications has been awarded. The aim is to network local politicians across Austria to promote EU issues that are important to citizens at the local level. The European Intellectual Property Office, EU IPO, also relies on comm:unications. Every two years, the EU IPO presents the DesignEuropa Award to raise awareness that design should not be simply “copied”. Among the finalists in 2023 was Austrian designer Petra Wieser with the Mindful Design coffee maker.
Career jumps at comm:unications
Irene Maurer, BA, has been promoted to Junior Consultant at the agency. The publicist, who started as an intern at comm:unications in June 2002, is now climbing the next rung on the PR career ladder. Her responsibilities will be expanded to include ongoing support of the agency’s existing clients and social media. Congratulations!
New to the team is Nenad Jankovic, who is getting his first taste of agency work as a trainee. Welcome to the team!
Time travel to ancient Rome
For a PR agency that also organises events, every agency outing is an experience. This year, the entire comm:unications team was whisked away to Carnuntum, almost 40 kilometres south-east of Vienna. Dressed in period costumes, exploring the Roman town founded around 2,000 years ago was twice as much fun. Another highlight was a royal picnic in the Baroque gardens of Schloss Hof.
